There is a  wonderful progression from the beauty of the engagement, the emotions of the wedding, the first smile of the baby. When you see a family album is like seing time stopping for a moment and passing by to the next event and it goes until present. It fascinates me how we are manipulating the past time. There is so much depth in this concept. Before photography it was painting and writing. The history in every form is the need of man to capture the moments of the time and remember them afterwards. They preserve the time encapsulating it in memories. The family portrait lived for centuries and today, another happy and beautiful family portrait is scribbled with light.

They were getting so into it, they looked cinematic. There are some shoots when I just pushed the button, nothing else, no framing, no timing, nothing just click. The magic of the moment pushed my finger. There are some people that are so photogenic, it is amazing. These guys kept asking what to do and I said: ” just be yourself!”

The bursts of the color in this picture transposes me there. I want to touch, to taste the freshness of the fruits. I think that the looks of the food is what captures my eye and I start tasting the flavors in my mouth. The presentation is everything. This picture captures the flavors of the fruits and sends them to you encrypted, and all the decryption process makes the brain to want them. For me is just amazing.

I will start with the beginning. Why this blog?

It is my love for photography – well it is more than that, because I love doing videoclips, directing, filming so I can say I love capturing moments and since video is a sort of photography succession (23, 24, 29.97, 30, 60, etc per second) I can say that I am a collector of memories and I will treasure them as long I will live.

There is so much charge in this word that when I think deeper about it, my imagination just bursts and overflows. So much poetry in these thoughts, makes me get up and start “freezing” moments, “painting” shadows and “capturing” light. The word “photography” comes from the greek language – φώς (phos) root word photo (means light) and γράφω (grapho) (meaning to scratch; to write, to record, to draw, to describe). I was trying to find a nice twist to the word photographer and I came up with “the light scribbler” which derives from scribbling - meaning to write therefore put together is – light writer.

Between the art and technique shines a light so beautiful, it is very hard not to share.
